Commercial Actor / 20 years in Casting
15 years teaching the business of commercials
Booking a commercial is basically a lottery. The sooner you make peace with that, the sooner you can actually breathe — and start enjoying the ride.
What you can control is your skill, and that's exactly where your energy belongs. As your skills grow, so will your auditions. So will your confidence. That's where the good stuff lives.
Knowing how this business actually works changes everything. Most actors never get that map — and it shows. You'll be a step ahead of many. And honestly? Understanding how it all fits together will do more for your anxiety than almost anything else. Ya — anxiety is absolutely a thing in this industry.
"Desperation is a creativity dead weight. You don't want it in your life — and you for sure don't want it walking into an audition room with you."
I spent 20 years inside the commercial casting world — working with thousands of actors, watching what worked and what didn't, and understanding what the industry is looking for. And because so much of it is nuanced, it's rarely spoken about out loud.
Today I'm on the other side of the camera, actively working as a commercial actor as well as teaching new actors — and folks thinking about getting into the biz — how this business actually works. How casting works, what agents need from you, where to put your energy and what to let go of completely.
I've been in the commercial industry for over 35 years — as an actor, a casting director, and crew. I know this world from every angle, and I'm going to tell you things many coaches don't. My experience in this industry is unique and spans literally decades. And while much has changed because of technology, much of what's actually required of actors has not.
I will not waste your time telling you what you want to hear. What I will do is help take the desperation out of the whole thing.
My approach isn't about grinding harder or hustling yourself into exhaustion. It's about coming at this with a clear head and actually having fun. Because that's what the camera sees anyway.
You deserve the real version of how this works.
Are you interested in becoming a commercial actor, or already auditioning but would like to be clearer on how the whole thing actually runs?
This seminar isn't an acting class. It's everything you need to know to walk into this business like a professional — from day one.
Three hours. Expect to laugh, learn a lot, and leave with the truth of what commercial life actually looks like from the inside out. Joining me is fellow commercial actor Masa DeLara — together we've got enough stories from the trenches to keep you entertained and informed for well more than three hours. We've narrowed it down. We'll be sharing our truth — things that have gone sideways, some with surprisingly happy endings, and some... well, not so much.
You'll leave knowing
Includes a take-home reference guide.
Sometimes you need more than a seminar. You need someone in your corner who's seen it all and will tell you the truth.
Whether you're just starting out and want to get comfortable on camera, need help with self-taping, want to run through scripts, or simply need to build the confidence to walk into a room and own it — we work on what you actually need.
No fixed agenda. Just focused time on what's holding you back.
